What type of hearing aid?

The best induction loop system in the world is no use if the person who needs to use it has a hearing aid that will not pick up the signal.

Thankfully, the majority of hearing aids supplied in the UK are fitted with the facility to receive the signal.

To use an induction loop the hearing aid must be fitted with a 'T' or 'Telecoil' facility.

Digital or analogue?

This is a question that is often asked, however it is a little bit of a red herring. Being digital or analogue has no relevance at all - the critical element is "Does the hearing aid have a T position".

Induction loop sonly come in one format - If a hearing aid has a working T position then it will be able to receive a signal from an induction loop system complying with the current standards.
